Terms + Conditions
Online booking
If you have booked online, please bring your ticket confirmation with you to the event, either on your mobile device or as a printed copy.
Concessions
You will be asked to show the relevant concession ID on entry. If you do not have the right to a concessionary rate you will be asked to pay the difference on a full price ticket.
Where concessions apply, discounts are available to:
- Full-time students / NUS
- Children aged 16 and under
- Person with a disability (carers receive a complimentary ticket).
- Adults aged over 65
- Those in receipt of unemployment benefit
- University of Hertfordshire employees, students and alumni
Please be aware that you may be asked to provide proof of eligibility when attending your chosen event.
Group discounts
For group bookings of 10 tickets or more, a free complimentary ticket is provided.
UH Students
Please note that all UH Student tickets will be allocated within the upper circle of the auditorium.
Reservations
Seats cannot be reserved unless in exceptional circumstances, such as large group bookings or by agreement with managing staff.
Exchanges and refunds
Tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded (unless an event is cancelled).
Booking fee
UH Arts + Culture do not charge a booking fee.
You can print your tickets from home or collect them from the box office free of charge.
Your details
We are committed to upholding the principles of the Data Protection Act 2018. All personal details you provide will be kept securely and not disclosed to third parties without authorisation.
Babies in arms
Children under 18 months are permitted when suitable and do not require their own seat. Please telephone in advance to check.
Unaccompanied children
Children under 14 years are welcome at events where age is not stipulated but must be accompanied by an adult.
Other conditions
- All tickets and discounts are subject to availability
- All event information correct at time of publishing
- We reserve the right to make occasional ticket offers and to change or cancel programmes
- Latecomers are admitted at the discretion of the Duty House Manager in charge
- Outdoor events are subject to weather conditions

At UH Arts + Culture we believe strongly in protecting our users' privacy. We will not wilfully disclose information about our users to any third party without first receiving the relevant user's consent. This Privacy Policy sets out the privacy practices for the services offered on any University of Hertfordshire ('the University') owned and/or operated websites ('the Website'). Some parts of our on-line systems and services and our collaborative agreements are operated on our behalf by third-party organisations. Analytics cookies
We use these cookies to anonymously collect information about how visitors use our site. They are set when you first visit the site and deleted when you close the web browser. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form and send it back to Google, who collate the information into reports that help us develop our website. Blocking these cookies will not impact on your use of our site.
Online registration and purchasing
These cookies are set when you apply online for UH Arts + Culture services such as booking events, membership or a course of study. They are also set when you purchase an item from our online store. These cookies are used to maintain the status of your application or purchase throughout the process. Disabling these cookies may mean that you are unable to complete an application or purchase online. They will expire when you close your web browser.
Social Networking Buttons
Many of our web pages contain links to social networking sites that are provided by the sites themselves such as Facebook and Twitter. The scripts used to generate these buttons come from third party websites and the third parties might be setting cookies, gathering usage information and setting their own cookies.

When you visit us we will
- Provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment.
- Enable you to access and find the facilities and services you require, where available.
- Ensure that you are treated with respect and in a professional manner.
- Ensure that staff members are able to provide you with information and sign-post as necessary.
If you email or write to us we will
- Respond within 5 working days. If we cannot answer you fully within 5 working days, we will contact you and tell you why, and explain the next steps.
If you telephone us we will
- Ensure your call can be taken between our customer service hours of 10:00 - 12:00, Monday to Friday.
- Respond to voicemail messages within 3 working days.
- Respond to your enquiry as best we can, and if we cannot, we will explain why and ensure that an appropriate member of staff can help you.
Complaints process
The complaints process below is for visitors and customers of the University of Hertfordshire Arts and its subsidiaries and does not cover the wider University.
Stage 1 - If at any time you are unhappy with the levels of service you experience, please speak to a member of our customer service team who will try their best to resolve your complaint straight away.
Stage 2 - If your complaint has not been resolved by our customer service team, it will be referred to a manager who will assess the complaint and try to find a resolution.
Stage 3 - If you remain dissatisfied by the response we will ask you to submit your complaint in writing so that it can be addressed at a more senior level. We aim to deal with all letters of complaint within 10 days of receipt. If we cannot answer your complaint within the timescales provided, we will contact you and tell you why and when you can expect a full response.
