UH Arts is excited to present de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra in Lockdown.
While the Orchestra hasn't been able to meet over the last year, the musicians have not been idle. Here is a lockdown project from Clarinetist David Adams – Mozart’s Adagio in B-flat major, K.411
“Mozart’s Adagio for two clarinets and three basset horns has long been a favourite piece of mine but perhaps because of the unusual scoring it’s one that I’ve only once had the chance to play, and that was over 40 years ago!
Mozart writes so perfectly for the instruments playing to all their strengths and creates what seems to me to be a miniature masterpiece. With the advent of lockdown, and the extra time I had on my hands as a result, it was the perfect vehicle to use for my first attempt at multi-track recording. Here is played on four clarinets and a bass clarinet.”

We look forward to welcoming de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra back to the Weston Auditorium for the start of the 2021/22 Season on Sunday 17 October.
