Learn about different lighting options for your photoshoots with photographer and alumna Katie Lupton.
Katie demonstrates how different lighting in the studio can create different outcomes and provides tips for getting started. She will explain the difference between using artificial and natural light to create a studio photograph (with and without equipment).
Suitable for 10+, children and adults will need to work together.

You will need:
- A studio space. This can be a plain wall, backdrop, created with dust sheets etc (inside and/or outside).
- A Camera (mobile phone cameras can be used if no access to a camera).
- A model or a friend who is happy to be in front of the camera. (if no one is available you can use an object to experiment with.
- A vase of flowers usually works well.)
- Different house lamps, or studio lighting if you have access to it
