School of Creative Arts Showcase 2018

The School of Creative Arts takes over UH Arts Gallery for 5 weeks, hosting five exhibitions that showcase the breadth and depth of student and staff research across Art and Design.

Displayed at the café side of the Gallery, showcasing unorthodox and fresh interpretations of Italo Calvinos’ 1972 text of the same name, as each student explores a different city.

The Light Fantastic

Collaborative, cross-disciplinary group show using projection in surprising and innovative ways as a part of an artefact designed for public exhibition.

Postgraduate Students from Film and TV, Art, Design, Media, and Art Therapy programmes.

Dynamic exhibition devoting time to the unseen, unheard, often lost stage-posts along the journey towards a final artwork providing opportunities to collaborate, re-create and re-think.

Design for Weightlessness

26 February – 1 March 2018

The future of space tourism and mass space travel: cross-disciplinary investigations into the ways in which design principles and practices will need to be revised.

Students from BA (Hons) Contemporary Design Crafts, Digital Media Arts, Interactive Media Design, Interior Architecture and Design, Photography, Product Design, Fashion, and BSc (Hons) Industrial Design.
