The Hertfordshire Schools’ Symphony Orchestra, for students aged 13 – 18, draws together the more experienced school age players from across the county who usually also play in their school and local music centre groups.

Coached in individual sections, this orchestra tackles large and smaller scale works. The orchestra meets three times a year during the school holidays for intensive courses, sometimes residential or joint, and always culminating in an exciting performance at a prestigious venue.
